November 1, 2024 — XPT Specialty, a leading wholesale broker for commercial and personal insurance, today announced the addition of three new team members: Alex Thomas as Broker Underwriter, Cynthia Ann Pompa as Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter/Broker, and Connor Fritzsche as Associate Broker.

Thomas joins the Denver office with 25 years of insurance industry experience, bringing a specialty in Property and Casualty insurance with a focus on construction, habitational, hospitality and manufacturing. He spent the majority of his career with wholesalers Adco General and RPS, while the last four years he served as a territory management consultant at EMC Insurance Companies in Colorado and Wyoming.
Jenny Crane, Regional VP at XPT Specialty welcomes Alex to the team, sharing, “As we continue to grow our Denver office, there is no better fit than Alex Thomas to help grow the company’s presence in Colorado and help build our team of brokers and underwriters.”
Pompa, joining the Houston office, specializes in LRO’s, vacant buildings, contractors, special events, IM, large property, wind buy back, churches, c-stores, liquor liability, fine dining restaurants, contractor’s pollution, and environmental risks. She brings years of experience in underwriting to XPT, previously serving as a commercial lines underwriter at Burns & Wilcox.

Fritzsche joins the mid-Atlantic office, bringing a specialty in property insurance. He comes to XPT from Risk Placement Services where he was a broker/account manager associate.
According to S&P Global Market Intelligence’s 2024 US Excess & Surplus Insurance Market Report, the growth rate of US excess and surplus (E&S) direct premiums rose 14.5% in 2023.
