Welcoming new talent with local know-how and commercial lines capabilities
August 20, 2025 — XPT Specialty, a leading wholesale broker for commercial and personal insurance, announced its expansion of operations into Atlanta, Georgia, and North Carolina. As a part of this strategic growth, XPT has brought on three new underwriters to the team: Will Pinson, Janet Christenberry and Charles Bethishou.

The new team delivers a strong blend of underwriting expertise, established market relationships, and regional insights:
- Will Pinson – Senior Underwriter and Lead for North Carolina Region – Based in Wilmington, NC, Will brings over 12 years of experience in specialty and surplus lines underwriting. He holds industry-recognized credentials, CPCU, AU, and ASLI, demonstrating a deep understanding of complex commercial risks. Known for his analytical approach and strong carrier partnerships, Will excels at placing hard-to-bind accounts and delivering tailored solutions to retail agents across the Southeast.
- Janet Christenberry – Lead Underwriter for Atlanta Region – Janet brings over 20 years of commercial underwriting experience to the team. As an Underwriting Supervisor at Jencap for more than seven years, and with over two decades at Genesee General before that, she’s developed a deep well of expertise in evaluating risk, pricing policies, and mentoring junior colleagues. Her tenacity, technical skill, and dedication to strong broker relationships make her an ideal fit for supporting E&S and small commercial accounts in the Southeast.
- Charles Bethishou – Commercial Lines Underwriter for Atlanta Region – Charles is a seasoned insurance professional with more than a decade of experience in underwriting, business development, and client retention. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, he brings a strong track record of driving growth, managing high-volume accounts and building lasting agency relationships. At Jencap Insurance Services, he played a key role in expanding commercial lines while mentoring partners on underwriting best practices.
