Ryan McEachern joins XPT’s California office as Vice President, Commercial Underwriter/Broker
June 3, 2026 — XPT Specialty, a leading wholesale broker for commercial and personal insurance, announced that Ryan McEachern has joined the firm as Vice President, Commercial Underwriter/Broker in its Woodland Hills, California office. McEachern brings more than seven years of E&S underwriting experience to the role, with a background that also includes several years in financial services, giving him a practical understanding of how clients assess and manage risk across industries.
At XPT Specialty, McEachern will partner directly with retail agents on hard-to-place and non-standard commercial accounts. His focus spans the full range of E&S submissions, from accounts that need a specialty market solution to complex commercial risks outside the admitted market.
McEachern comes to XPT from Burns & Wilcox, where he served as an underwriter in the Woodland Hills market, developing hands-on experience in commercial E&S placements and carrier relationships across the region. Prior to his insurance career, he spent nearly seven years as a Private Client Banker at JPMorgan Chase.
